How do I make a booking?

The best way is to order online or fill out the booking form on our website.

Can Platter Up do a bespoke event?

Absolutely, we love catering for bespoke events. Just give us a call, and we will sort everything for you. Please check out our Instagram for inspiration as well.

Can I pick up from you?

You are always welcome to pick up from us, and you will save on the delivery charge.

Do you have a minimum order value?

Our minimum order value is £40. For orders below this amount, we will have a higher delivery charge, so it may be better value to order another product.

What time do I need to order by?

You can order up to 5pm the day before for platters. For Grazing Tables, Brunch, and Lunch Tables or any event with staff, we need 48 hours' notice. If you have a last-minute request, just call us, and we will let you know what we can provide.

Where can you deliver to?

We deliver to all of Central London and many other areas. Just give us a call to confirm if we can deliver to your location.

Do you have a delivery charge?

Yes, we have a delivery charge of £10 to Delivery Area 1 = E2, EC1, EC2, EC3, EC4, WC1, WC2, E1, E2, E3, E5, E8, E9, N1, N4, N5, N6, N16, Delivery Area 2 is £20 = W1, SE1, SE11, SE17, SE16, NW1, NW3, NW5, NW8, N4, N7, N19, E10, E20, E15, E13, E14, E16, W2, SW1 All other postcodes please contact us. We have an extra £10 delivery charge for weekend orders.

What are your delivery slots?

We have 15-minute delivery slots. We will always aim for this time; however, due to increasing traffic and restrictions in London, we strongly advise ordering the food earlier if you have fridge space available.

What are your payment terms?

We require payment upfront 4 working days prior to all deliveries. For events, we require 50% upfront, with the balance paid 7 days prior to the event.

Can we have a credit account?

Yes, we can set up credit accounts. Please call our office for more details and to get a Credit Account Form, which needs to be signed off by Platter Up.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Cancellations must be made in writing. If you cancel 48 working hours in advance, you will receive a 100% refund. If you cancel 24 working hours in advance, you will receive a 50% refund. For cancellations made less than 24 working hours in advance, the full charge will apply.

Where do you source your ingredients?

Platter Up strives to source locally when possible. However, given that our platters include produce not grown in the UK, we do source goods from further away when a local option isn't available.

What is the Platter Up presentation style?

All our food is presented beautifully as a piece of art by our professional team.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Absolutely, allergens are clearly stated on our website. Please call our team for advice and always inform us of any dietary requirements or allergies when making a booking.

Do you do substitutions of food items?

Substitutions are rarely needed, but on occasion, they may happen.

Do you use plastic?

We don’t use plastic in any of our packaging, and we work with suppliers who share our ethos.

Do you supply plates and cutlery?

Bamboo plates and wooden forks can be provided for an additional charge. We can also provide china crockery and glasses.

How long do you need to set up the grazing table?

Depending on the size of your event, setup will take approximately 1 to 2 hours.

Do you require parking?

We require on-site parking to unload the food and equipment. If on-site parking is unavailable, please let us know so that alternative arrangements can be made.

Do you offer a clean-up service?

Platter Up is not responsible for food or waste disposal after your event. However, a clean- up service can be arranged for an additional fee.

Do you offer waiter service?

Yes, we do! Get in touch for pricing or see our website.

What happens to the equipment used for the event?

Platter Up will collect the display items and platter boards after your event at a pre-arranged time. Please ensure all items are ready for collection. Any missing items will be charged for. If we need to return a second time, there will be a collection charge of £30.

How far can you travel?

As we're based in Central London, we primarily serve this area. However, we can travel further out for an additional charge. Get in touch to see if we can come to you.

Is Platter Up a registered company and VAT registered?

Yes, Platter Up is a trading name of Polo Bar Limited, and we are VAT registered.

Does Platter Up have a food safety rating?

Yes, we hold a 5-star rating with our local council. Our team also has Food Safety qualifications as well as Health and Safety.

Is Platter Up insured?

Yes, we are fully insured with Public Liability insurance.

Will Platter Up use images from events on social media?

Yes, unless you state otherwise, we like to capture our work on location for social media.
